ESP Panels extends the life of panel products by creating a watertight seal around the edge of the boards, stopping moisture penetration to protect against delamination. Ideal for external use and high humidity areas. ESP is proven to make plywood last longer. The Plywood Sealant is applied to the bare edges (including freshly cut edges) of the plywood boards. A thick layer is painted down the edge with a 5mm overlap onto the flat surface. Ensure that any holes or air pockets are completed covered. This can be done by working the sealant along the edge, back and forth with a paint brush.
Ideal for:
•Plywood •OSB •MDF •Sterling Board
Features:
•Easy Application •Quick Drying •Stabilizes plywood from warping •Stops water ingress and delamination •Reduces risk of mould and rot •Proven to make plywood stronger
Coverage:
Panel Thickness 1 litre will seal Total cut edge 18 mm 21 sheets 183 metres 12 mm 32 sheets 234 metres 9 mm 37 sheets 270 metres
Panel Thickness 500ml will seal Total cut edge 18 mm 12 sheets 91 metres 12 mm 16 sheets 117 metres 9 mm 18 sheets 135 metres
Panel Thickness 125 ml will seal Total cut edge 18 mm 3 sheets 21 metres 12 mm 4 sheets 29 metres 9 mm 4.6 sheets 36 metres
Advice:
Ensure that all areas to be sealed are clean, free of dust, mud, and ‘muck’. If necessary, clean the surface thoroughly with clean water and allow to dry. For optimum results ensure that the plywood is clean and dry before application.
A thick layer is painted down the edge with a 5mm overlap onto the flat surface (see insert). Ensure that any holes or air pockets are completed covered. This can be done by working the sealant along the edge, back and forth with a paint brush. • For best results use a woodwork stain and varnish brush for an even finish. • Can be applied by roller: recommended a minimum of a medium pile roller sleeve.
Drying Time:
Touch dry within 2 hours depending on drying conditions and humidity.

Water-based end grain timber preservative for the retreatment of cut or bored pressure treated timber. A brush on protection where no topcoat is required. Fungicide specifically formulated for use against wood rotting fungi and Algae, Lichen, mould & other growths on hard surfaces. Can treat cut bare wood to Use Class 2 and UC3.
When cross cutting, notching or boring treated timber products during installation, ALWAYS apply an end grain preservative treatment to freshly exposed areas – to maintain the integrity of the protection. All site cuts of pressure treated timber are required under building regulations to be re-treated.
•Easy application: Brush or spray applied •Tried and tested formula •Water based •Metal free •Available in three colours; Green, Brown & Clear •Cleared for use by both professional and non-professional use by the HSE •Reseals ‘tanalised’, pressure treated, or Vac-Vac pressure treated timbers to UC2, UC3 or UC4
Liberally brush apply the ESP Timber to any cuts, notches and drilled areas exposed on the treated timbers revealed during use or installation to maintain the integrity of the preservative protection.
Care should always be taken when applying ESP Timber product to cut ends and notches, that any overlap onto a treated timber face that is going to be exposed and seen as a natural face, should be wiped off to prevent uneven weathering. Treated timbers going into ground contact Use Class 4 situations should not be cut at the ground contact end of the component.
Application:
Apply by brush or low-pressure sprayer. Apply at 200ml/m2 (1L per 5m2). Product may require 2-3 coats to achieve required finish/loading, depending on porosity of surface.

Touch dry within 2 hours depending on drying conditions and humidity.
